Khrysso has been learning folk music since his early childhood and began playing it publicly in 1990. Over the years he has studied and consumed much folklore.
He plays guitar and mountain dulcimer and is a many-times Executive Committee member of the Columbus (Ohio) Folk Music Society. He has published music books and vocal recordings and was a founding steering committee member of the Central Ohio Dulcimer Festival and the Central Ohio Folk Festival in the 1990s. He has led hundreds of music-related workshops at music festivals, churches, and Pagan festivals in the Midwest, the East Coast, the West Coast, and the Rocky Mountains.
